At Avdhara, every decision we make is guided by one principle: the child's wellbeing comes first. This policy explains exactly how we protect children and what we expect from every adult who is part of our community.
1. Our Commitment
Avdhara exists to support parents in raising calm, capable, and rooted children. The safety, dignity, and wellbeing of every child is our highest responsibility. This policy applies to our website, our Parent App, our Parent Circles, and any Avdhara community space.
2. Children's Data Protection
- We do not collect any personally identifying information about children
- We do not ask for children's names, photos, school names, or contact details
- The only child-related information we hold is an age range (e.g. 4 to 6 years) chosen by a parent to personalise their Pathway
- We will never use any information about a child for advertising, profiling, or sharing with third parties
3. Screen Time and Digital Wellbeing
Avdhara is an offline-first platform. We believe children's attention is sacred and must be protected, not harvested.
- Our app is designed for parents, not children
- We use no engagement traps, streaks-as-pressure, or infinite scroll
- We do not send notifications designed to pull parents or children back to a screen
- All Avdhara learning experiences are designed to happen offline, away from devices
4. Content Standards
All content published by Avdhara is:
- Reviewed before publication for age-appropriateness
- Free from violence, fear-based messaging, or content that could distress a child or parent
- Written to build confidence and calm, never to create anxiety or urgency
- Reviewed against our Brand Guidelines which explicitly prohibit fear marketing, comparison between children, and urgency language
5. Parent Circles and Community Spaces
Our Parent Circles are for adults only. In all community spaces:
- Children's identities are protected (no child's full name, school, or location is shared)
- Facilitators are trained in creating safe, non-judgmental spaces
- Any content that could identify or endanger a child is removed immediately
- Community spaces do not record or store conversations without explicit consent
6. Parent Stories
When parents share stories about their children:
- No child's full name is ever published
- No child's photo is ever published without explicit written consent from both parents
- Stories are published with the parent's first name only and their city
- Parents can request removal of any story at any time
7. Safeguarding
If any member of our community becomes aware of a situation where a child may be at risk of harm:
- Contact the relevant authorities in your local area immediately
- You may also notify us at info@avdhara.com and we will respond within 24 hours
- We will cooperate fully with any statutory investigation
If you believe a child is in immediate danger, please contact your local emergency services first. Do not wait.
8. Reporting a Concern
If you have any concern about child safety in relation to Avdhara's content, community, or practices:
- Email us at info@avdhara.com with the subject line CHILD SAFETY
- We will acknowledge your message within 24 hours
- We will investigate and respond fully within 5 working days
- All concerns are treated with the highest confidentiality
9. Review of This Policy
This Child Safety Policy is reviewed every 6 months or immediately following any incident or concern that requires it. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
10. Our Promise
We will never compromise on the safety, dignity, or wellbeing of any child. If we ever fall short of this standard, we want to know immediately. Your trust is not taken lightly.
